Zion Bishan Kindergarten – “Sow A Little Kindness”
Zion Bishan Kindergarten (ZBK) has embarked the first ‘Start Small Dream Big (SSDB)’ project. In this six month long project, starting from 13 April 2017 to 6 October 2017, our ZBK children and parents will be collectively contributing old newspapers and magazines, which will be sold to the ‘Karang Guni’ man. The proceeds will be used to purchase vegetables seeds and compost for gardening. The K1 children will be planting herbs and vegetables in the school’s garden with the help of teachers, parents and the community – Nparks. The proceeds collected from the harvest will be used to help the needy. This learning journey enriches teaching and learning in and beyond the classroom. We hope to encourage our young ZBK children to realise that one is never too young to give to others, and in the process, inculcate the values of caring sharing.
