ZBK is into the fourth year of participation in the SSDB project. This year, our theme is “Being Thankful and Sharing”. Through this SSDB project, we hope to inculcate in our children the values of being grateful, caring, and sharing with others.
We will be collaborating with our parents and our next-door neighbour, Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled, for this year’s SSDB project - Donation Drive and “Hydroponic Vegetable Planting”.
The parents have generously donated the essential items to the residents at Bishan Home. The children participated in buying these items from the supermarket, sorting the items and wrapping the items into beautiful hampers for the residents.
The parents also generously contributed towards the cost of the seedlings of the hydroponic vegetables (Bayam) and the children will be involved in the planting and harvesting of the vegetables. After harvesting, the vegetables will be donated to the residents of Bishan Home for their consumption.
We certainly look forward to this meaningful project as we work together with the children, parents and teachers to care for others and help those who are in need in our community.
