We kick started our SSDB project with a booth from 29/3/17 to 30/3/17, where our parents dropped by to write words of encouragement for our little ones.
The neighbourhood walk on 30/3/17, Thursday was a success as we created awareness on this SSDB project to the public. Our K1 & K2 children proudly wore the orange bucket hats during the neighbourhood walk to let everyone know that they are an SSDB ambassador!
The K1 & K2 children made a pledge to actively contribute to the community. The pledge cards & hanging mobiles are used to decorate the Centre and remind the children to do good everyday!
Planting creates opportunity for our children to appreciate and care for the nature around them. Children learnt the importance of responsibility, care and respect for the living things and the environment. Our Sunflower Kids play a part in making our Sunflower Garden bloom using recycled materials such as milk/egg cartons, old buckets, ice cream tubs, bottles, styrofoam boxes etc.
In conjunction to our “SSDB - Love & Care for Nature” project, we organised a Mini Terrarium Workshop for Parent & Child. This hands-on workshop encouraged the parent & child to work together on a platform which allows free exchange of ideas, understand its eco-system, gain insight on how to care & maintain it and acquire practical skills on making a terrarium.
