This year our centre involved the Infants to K2 in the Start Small Dream Big project. We chose the topic to be about gardening as we have our own garden outside the centre. The children and staff have been maintaining them since then.
This year we did something a little different and special. We collaborated Fathers’ day celebration together with our SSDB launch. Hence we were able to get our parents support too.
N2 children cut recycled bottles to make a pot. They decorated their own bottles too. Children were encoraged to plant some in the class prior to fathers day celebration.
N1 class created their own flower mask. Arent they cute? They strike a pose with our centre Principal Tr Neelima.
Toddlers created their own flower craft too with their teacher.
Children celebrated Fathers’ Day together with their daddies in school. Our centre launched SSDB project on this special day. They went outdoors to do gardening with thier child.
Children had extended field trip to Bollywood Veggies in conjunction with SSDB project.
Children gave their potted plants back to the society to create an awareness of growing & taking of plants.
Overall, this SSDB project about gardening has given lots of knowledge to our school children. It has also taught them how to take care of them.
