On 25 July 2019, our children from N1, N2, K1 and K2 went to Green Circle Eco-Farm. The farmer gave us an introduction talk about plants and insects. They taught us 2 songs “ Our Five Senses” and “Ladybugs and butterflies”.
The children were given the opportunities to explore the farm together with the farmer. They smelled and touched the different plants. They identified the vegetables, herbs and plants with the guidance from the farmer.
After exploring the farm, the children had the opportunities to touch and feel the different types of soil and concluded which soil was good for planting. Planting of seed was demonstrated by the farmer, followed by each child took turns to plant a medicinal plant, which was being brought home after that.
