N2
Children worked in groups to make a ‘Lorry Truck’ pencil holder. The theme of the pencil holder is linked to our Term 3 unit, which is on Transportation.
They were amazed by how they could turn a milk carton into a nice pencil holder just by reusing and recycling.
They could name some of the things that they can keep in the ‘Truck’ holder, such as markers, small toys, crayons and cards.
K1
Children are engaged with the activity of creating their pencil holder using recycled materials.
They used different types of art media to create their craft.
The children were proud of their handmade pencil holder.
Very beautifully coloured pencil holder made from plastic bottles.
K2
The children have learnt and understood the meaning of upcycling. They were very excited to create their own pencil holder made from plastic bottles or milk cartons. Children have chosen the colour they wanted in covering the bottle or the carton.
They also cut some pictures from old magazines and pasted them as decorations. They have drawn some shapes and lines too in designing their work. Children enjoyed the activity and they looked forward to use it either at home or in school.
