Teacher introduced the story ‘Singapore, My Little Red Dot’. The children commented “I want to be the Big Giant Ball as it is big and strong! And also said “I want to be Mr Round and protect the fishes at night.” The children deduced that Mr Round, Mr Triangle, Mr Square and the Little Red Dot have to work together as a team to protect others. They said Mr Round looks like a puffer fish, Mr Triangle looks like a submarine and Mr Square looks like an army tank.
The children tried to form the puzzles by creating the ‘Day’ and ‘Night’ version of the story. The children mentioned “I can see Singapore and the Earth. I can see many corals and I like to play with these puzzles!”

The children were able to listen and read aloud the story ‘Singapore, My Little Red Dot’. They loved and enjoyed the story. After the storytelling, the children did a waste segregation activity by pasting the stickers on the correct bin for recycling purposes.
The children are actively engaged in listening to the story being read by their teacher. The teacher relate the story to Singapore’s context for them to understand and relate it better such as the arrows on the total defence symbol and how our army protects the country as well. They are intrigued and enjoyed the session.
The teacher demonstrated the activity box and how the children can explore using it. There are many interesting things in the box and the children’s favourite would be how the pictures can move when placed in the screen.
