“Every effort counts, none too small!”
We launched our Start Small Dream Big Project 2022 on 25 May with our N2 to K2 children! We collaborated with the Mandai Zoo for this project and the project will kick start in the month of June. During the launch party, the children were introduced to Khansa and the threats that animals in the rainforest face. They also moved and danced to “Rainforest Explorer” and “Save the Planet”! The highlight of the launch party is a virtual learning journey with Ranger Hailee and Ranger Joyce from Mandai Zoo, and the children got to meet Khansa’s friend- Pedro, the California sea lion. The children were engaged in a mission to discover more about aquatic animals and how they can take action to defeat the Deadliest Monster that is messing with animals’ watery habitats! The children recognizes that everyone has a part to play in protecting the animals and it can be done with simple steps such as reducing, reusing, and recycling.
At the end of the celebration, we had a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commence our SSDB project. As a school, we pledge to do our part to protect wildlife animals, and the rainforest!
