Our Informative Poster
Following Ms Anna’s inspiring visit with her cats, the children were motivated to extend their support through a donation drive for our community’s furry friends. To kick off the initiative, the children designed and created eye-catching posters to raise awareness about how to care for our community furry friends. These posters, featuring information on how we can care for our furry friends were displayed prominently on the school’s bulletin boards to inform and engage the entire school community. It aims to educate the public on proper pet care and encourage others to join in the effort to support and protect our furry friends.
Donation Drive for our Furry Friends
The donation drive saw enthusiastic participation from children, parents, and staff, who generously contributed a variety of items such as cat food, toys, litter, and bedding. Once the donation period concluded, the children took on the task of sorting and organising the collected items. They carefully categorised the donations into different groups—food, toys, hygiene products, and bedding—learning about the importance of each item for the well-being of the cats. The sorting process was a hands-on learning experience, as the children labeled and packed the items, ensuring everything was neatly arranged and ready for delivery.
With their hard work completed, alongside Ms Anna, delivered the sorted donations to the Toa Payoh Cats Community. This step was particularly meaningful, as it allowed the children to see firsthand the impact of their efforts on the local stray cats. The donation drive not only reinforced their understanding of empathy and responsibility but also gave them a sense of accomplishment for contributing to a worthy cause.
SSDB Finale
To conclude the SSDB Project, we held a special closing ceremony where each child was presented with a Certificate of Completion. This certificate recognised their dedication and the hours they invested in caring for the furry friends in our neighborhood. The ceremony celebrated their hard work and commitment, marking a meaningful end to a rewarding project and highlighting their significant contributions to the well-being of the community’s animals.
