For this year’s SSDB Project, we have partnered with Singapore Red Cross; Red Cross Junior Programme to meet the objectives of the project and to cater to the centre’s focus: Safety for everyone.
The launch if the project for parents was done via zoom together with the children and the teachers in the centre.
We shared the objectives, details and timeline of the project and how both children and parents could contribute towards its success.
During the launch, children took part in many activities to gain valuable first aid skills and experiences. They also participated in the Red Cross Junior Activity where they learnt basic first aid skills for children.
Apart from that, they watched educational videos, took part in a quiz to test their new found knowledge and even learnt how to bandage wounds. The children had so much fun testing and practicing their skills themselves, friends, teachers and also on the mascot, Carrie!
Some children even went home to practice on their family members!
