As part of this year’s project, the children became “Heroes in Training” they explored the contents of a first aid kit and learn how to use them in real-world emergencies. 🌍🚑
To reinforce their learning, they participated in a relay game that helped them differentiate between useful emergency items and those that are not. 🛟
The Junior Red Cross, our chosen partner for the 2024 Start Small Dream Big project, also visited us for an engaging session. Through interactive discussions, the students learned the steps to assist people in emergencies such as burns, bleeding, broken bones, and choking. They even watched some “We Bare Bears” videos to illustrate various situations! 🐻
The children also had the opportunity to meet Henry, the Red Cross mascot, and practice bandaging with him. 👦🏻⛑️
They enjoyed a hands-on experience as the team provided each student with their own bandage to practice on their friends. They imagined how to respond to different injuries on various parts of the body. 🤕
It was a fun and educational experience, and the kids left with new knowledge and stories to share with their families! ⛑️ Our little heroes are now halfway through their training!! 🌟
