Welcome to our “KinderGARDEN of JOY!” This year’s Start Small Dream Big Project is about gardening. We have three mini gardens which are the Garden of Smell, Garden of Taste, and Garden of Colours. In the Garden of smell we planted mints and curry leaves, while in the Garden of Taste we planted spring onions and garlic, and lastly in the Garden of Colours we have our tumeric and butterfly pea.
A garden can be an interactive playground for kids that will engage all of their senses. It’s where they can touch and feel the fruits of their labour, fancy the brightly coloured flowers, grow accustomed to natural scents and the sound of rustling shrub.
Through gardening, the children can learn new skills, have fun, play and develop self-confidence by spending time in the garden tending plants and growing their own food. The children enjoy being outdoors and love digging in soil, getting dirty, creating things and watching their plants grow.
As our first step to our gardening, here are our children planting their own plants. Let’s see how they will grow together.
