To celebrate the success of our fundraising, we held our ‘Celebration of Learning Moments cum Parental Workshop’ last Friday, 8 July 2022. We have celebrated the children’s development as well as featuring their learning journey during the June Holiday with all the parents via virtual platform.
The Down Syndrome Association of Singapore had a meaningful talk to parents about creating awareness of the Downs Syndrome and how
society can accept and help them. Ms Sulyanna, Executive Volunteer Management
and Community Partnership with the Downs Syndrome Association of Singapore
conducted the workshop.
Parents have gained awareness of children with Down Syndrome and helped their children understand their condition as well as to embrace them in the society.
Children from PG to K2 had a fantastic dance performance to the Family For Life songs such as I Love My Family, I Respect My Family, I Commit to My Family and lastly, I Care to My Family.
These songs were taught to the young children to make them understand and develop each family values which build a stronger family and stronger community.
Furthermore, giving back to the community is one of the best way to instil the spirit of kindness and caring to the people around us. The children from Playgroup to Kindergarten 2, with the guidance of their respective teachers, made lovely crafts to help our beneficiaries.
The children raised a total of $1,280 from selling their personalized crafts to their parents and as token of appreciation for the unwavering support that they have given to them that made this project possible.
