In the last phase of our SSDB journey, we thought about what we could do to show ‘Care’ to individuals with Down Syndrome.
Our Kindergarten 1 children created a Zumba dance to share with people with down syndrome. They did the dance following the steps in the video. Then, they thought about how the dance can be made more suitable for people with Down Syndrome and suggested alternative actions.
Our Kindergarten 2 children created ‘Care Toys’ by stuffing socks with cotton wools and decorating them. This toy was then passed to our Kindergarten 1 children and a few representatives presented it to Down Syndrome Association (DSA). The Care Toys made by our children will be on sale at the Purple Parade on October 12. We invite everyone to support our project by attending the event and purchasing these unique crafts. Together, we can make a difference!
The Kindergarten 2 children concluded their SSDB project with a showcase at the primary school during recess, aimed at raising awareness about individuals with Down Syndrome. This experience provided them with a valuable opportunity to build self-confidence as they shared their experiences.
As we mark the end of our SSDB journey, children shared about their favourite activity during SSDB and what they have learnt! We look forward to our next SSDB project!
