The K2 children of SGM Murni visited the SEA Aquarium to observe the marine life and learn some basic facts about the ocean animals. It has sparked their sense of wonder and they became curious to know more about them.
Back in the classroom, the children watched educational videos and read informational books about pollution in the ocean. They realised that plastic trash could harm and kill the ocean animals. The children displayed empathy towards the marine life when they talked about why we should take care of the ocean animals’ habitat. We discussed on how we could help to save the ocean. One simple step that we did in class was collecting plastic bottles instead of throwing them away and reused them to make crafts.
The children also wanted to do their part by contributing to the community. Hence, they decided to be a volunteer and help to pick up trash at the beach. We can’t wait to go to the beach!
