On August 19, we went on a field trip to Toh Yi Community Garden to learn first-hand about planting in a natural environment.
A big THANK YOU to Aunty Esther Goh and a group of warm-hearted volunteers from Toh Yi Community Garden - Uncle Jason, Mdm Yip and Aunty Lynn who tirelessly spent their time showing us and our teachers around the garden and entertaining us with a fun planting session.
What excellent hospitality we got from them during the visit! Kudos to their enthusiasm and love for inspiring us to love gardening work! We went back school feeling more confident in looking after our Bayam seedlings well and get them ready for the Farmers Mary charity sale at the end of the month.
See you at our Farmers Market “Start Small Dream Big” charity sales event soon!
Signing off… Little Ambassadors of Kindness from PMK!
Look at these heart-shaped leaves!
Hmmm…what kind of vegetables are these?
Oops! Will this giant gourd fell on my head?
Lotus roots under the water… interesting!
We are ready to do our vegetable planting activity!
Uncle Jason said must press down the seeds…
So this is how the Kang Kong vegetable seedlings look like…
