As part of our collaboration with Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM), our children embarked on a project about kindness. To learn about the importance of kindness, the children did a kindness experiment. They first chose a principal/centre attendant they wanted to show kindness to, predicting how that person will feel upon receiving kindness. They then planned the act of kindness they wanted to give, such as giving cards, a flower, a hug, etc. They also role-played with one another to practice how they would give kindness to their chosen person.
The children showed immense courage stepping out of their comfort zones to give kindness to the people they chose. We were so proud of them for the enthusiasm and kindness they showed to the aunties, kakaks and principals, all of whom were immensely touched by your children’s sincerity and love. Their unanimous conclusion: receiving kindness makes people happy, whilst giving kindness also makes people happy!
