We went down to the Jurong Bird Park again on 14th September 2017 for our cheque presentation of the funds raised previously at the Upcycled Safari Carnival. We managed to raise $620 which we presented to the Wildlife Reserves Singapore.
During the ceremony, we got our Penguin Ambassadors to share again on the King Penguins to the aviary keepers, the education officers as well as our children!
They were very impressed by the performance of our ambassadors!
After the performance, it was the part where the children looked forward to the most: Meeting the African Penguins!
The aviary keepers brought out two female African Penguins for the children to have a closer observation. They shared about their diet, temperaments and personalities! The children were very excited as these penguins do not need to stay in cold climates which is something new to them!
After the sharing session, we presented the cheque to the Education director and got together for a group photograph!
We’re glad that we were able to work together with WRS for this year’s SSDB. We certainly appreciate their efforts and not forgetting our wonderful and capable children who contributed greatly to the project!
