In preparation for the visit to Lion Befrienders, the teachers and parents work hand-in-hand to plan the activities that will be conducted.
Parent volunteers suggested ideas for the activities and the teachers allocated time for parent volunteers to come into the classroom to teach the children.
The K1 children will be learnt how to create a flower craft using the coloured papers, scissors, glue and stickers while the K2 children learnt how to make figurines using air dry clay.
Both parent volunteers and teachers work collaboratively to prepare the materials and guide the children during these two activities.
Aside to the craft & clay activities, the children also had baking session a day before the visit to the Lion Befrienders. They learnt the steps to make the cupcakes and had fun during the baking session. The cupcakes will be given to the residents during the visit there.
The children enjoyed participating in these activities and are excited to create the flower craft and clay figurines with the residents during the visit to Lion Befrienders on Thursday, 10 May 2018.
