In November, we continued our SSDB journey with a trip to ‘Senja Hawker Centre’ where a variety of ethnic food was available. The children learned about the different cuisines representing various cultures, such as Chinese, Malay, Indian, and even fusion dishes.
By having the chance to select and purchase their own lunch, they gained a sense of independence and were able to experience the practical side of cultural exploration—through taste!
Bringing the food back to enjoy together also added a communal element to the experience, where the children could share their thoughts on the different dishes they tried, further deepening their appreciation for the diversity around them.
