The K1 children from e-Bridge Bukit Batok West started our journey with composting a few months ago, and our compost soil is now decomposed and ready to be used as fertiliser in our garden!
In these pictures, the children are loosening the compost and transferring it into a container to bring to the garden.
At the garden, the children loosened the soil to mix the compost with the soil.
“This is so hard to dig because the soil is dry! No water, so the soil is hard!” - Aqeel
“I pour the compost soil that we dig and put near the tree. Can make the tree grow bigger!” - Ahmad
We hope that through this composting activity, the children will learn about how to reuse the food scraps that they find at home, and also foster an interest in caring for the environment and sustainability.
