Since the K1 and K2 children are now more familiar with the Cassowary and its characteristics, it’s time to dive in a little more deeper a they learn about its diet and habitat.
The children are aware of how the Cassowary devour its food, however, they have never seen it up close and personal just yet. The teachers explained how the Cassowary eats, where it lives and how it contributes to its surroundings. After this, the children were asked to go to different groups and draw what they know about the Cassowary, each group was given a different fact about the Cassowary:
Group 1: What does the Cassowary Eat?
Group 2: Where does the Cassowary Live?
Group 3: What are the different parts of the Cassowary?
Group 4: Lifecycle of the Cassowary
After this, the children were encouraged to share their work with their classmates through a simple presentation and also, a form of review for what they have learned.
