Started of with children’s voices of curiosity and keen interests on having more toys in classrooms, we decided to instill significant values of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Respect and Responsibility to the children. We believe that by educating our young learners to be respectful and responsible towards people, things and environment around us, we would be able to be more sensitive to care for our living place by reducing wastage, reusing reusable items and recycling materials to create new and innovative things which can benefit themselves as well as to the community.
For that, we reached out to different organizations in our community such as secondary schools, supermakets, preschool centres, ITE colleges, regional library and of course, our main supporters who’re our wonderful parents to share their understanding, skills and knowledge about 5R, donation of recycable materials and also their time to be with our children and work collaboratively at creating new games and toys for them to learn and play with in daily basis.
Going beyond SSDB project, we are moving on to integrate “5R” in our daily learning experiences regardless of any topics or themes we are curious about throughout our endless learning journey :)
