To sum up the children’s learning and help raise funds for the Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), we organized our annual carnival, but in safari theme this year to suit our project!
We designed games for our families in the theme of different animals such as ‘Flippy floppy manatee toss’, ‘Penguin walk’, ‘Let’s go, Pandas’ and many more!
Parents and children participated actively in our games! We managed to sweat it out for a good cause!
For the carnival, our children also prepared creative goods such as keychains, badges, batik shirts and even books to educate others about our impact on the environment and what we could do to save the affected animals!
One of our main highlights of the event was our very own K1 Penguin Ambassadors presentation show. This was done with collaboration with the Education officers from WRS. We prepared weeks before for this presentation and I’m proud to say that our ambassadors did a great job, using the specimens and posters to educate our families about the Kind Penguins and the dangers they face. The children also shared some possible solutions that we all can do to save the penguins!
The presentation was a hit with our parents and children!
Special thanks goes out to WRS and the education officers who came down specially to set up a booth and supporting us.
We managed to raise over $600 in funds which we will be handing over to WRS soon in helping them to upkeep their parks and providing better services to the animals.
Our Safari Sports Carnival was a success, thanks to all supporting parties who have come together to support the same cause, and because we care.
