As part of President Challenge, Start Small Dream Big, we held an annual fund raising event for a community partner this year.They are SPD@ Toa Payoh.
Toddlers, Playgroup and Nursery classes upcycled recyclables items into useful products for trade in.
K1 on the other hand build partnership with the Zoo and they produced craftworks based on ‘Conservation’ to spread awareness.
K2 children worked closely with the National Gallery and they came up with a variety of artworks in relation to ‘When arts meet nature’.
Prior to the event, parents donated dry rations and daily essential in exchange for vouchers to ‘buy’ the children’s work.
It was a successful event and all the parents were elated to witness children’s enthusiasm in helping the community. The parents were also pleased that this project helped to build empathy in the children where they learned to contribute back to the society.
