Take a look at our awesome K2 children from Kidz Meadow @ Jurong West as they embarked on their first activity for their SSDB project!
We aim to help children understand the importance of taking care of the environment and develop a sense of responsibility as custodians of their own environment, as well as discover ways on how they can contribute to saving the earth in their own small ways.
With the help of the children’s parents, the children came to school with some recycled materials brought from home! Parents and teachers made sure everything was disinfected and safe before letting the children use these materials. 😊
The children distinguished the different classifications of recyclable materials. They sorted the items according to paper, plastic, glass and metal. It was a good opportunity for them because seeing the actual materials gave them the chance to observe and differentiate each classification of recyclable materials.
It was also good to note that the children were attentive to details as they ensured the materials, such as glass bottles with a metal lid, would be separated form one another as they belong to different categories.
Well done!
