Having this launch party was a great way to involve children in learning more about how to take care of our environment! Talking about where products come from and how they are made and re-used provided the opportunity for them to learn about what RECYCLING means.
There are many ways to teach children on how to reduce, reuse and recycle. We kicked off the launch party by singing songs about recycling!
N2A learned to sing the song “How to Recycle?” by LingoKids. They even created an action which made the song more engaging! You can try it too!
First, put one hand on your waist.
Then, with your other hand, act like you’re picking up a recyclable item and putting it on the other side.
Lastly, draw a big rectangle in the air when you hear the verse “in the recycling bin”!
It’s simple, right? You can try it while standing too!
Letting children incorporate actions to the song helps them to not only strengthen their motor skills but also allows them to practise self-expression. Songs also boost their memory skills. This is evident in N2A as they always refer to the song when asked what are the things that we can recycle. Well done!
