It’s part 3 of our SSDB Play Our Part, Be Water Smart project and our Nursery 1 and Nursery 2 students are up and ready to start their June Holiday right by choosing who will be the class Water Ambassador. The duty of the class Water Ambassador is to remind friends and teachers in school to be water savvy and not to waste water when washing hands or during showering. This programme will be done for the whole of the students June Holiday.
Let’s see how our young water ambassador did for the whole month.
The children also took part in a water rationing activity where for the whole afternoon, they will only use the water in the bucket to wash their hands after tea time or after using the toilet. Children had an enjoyable time, taking part in this activity. They not only learned how to be water savvy, but they too felt empathetic for those people who have scarce amount of water available for them and be grateful that we have access to clean water easily.
It was an eye-opening experience for the children and teachers alike as we learn to be appreciative and grateful with what we have and should never be taken for granted.
