In conclusion to our SSDB project on “Growing our own edibles”, the K1 explored further on the big topic on “sustainability” and they did several activities to support their ideas. The children did a small study on the different types of farmers in Singapore and their urban farms, selling all different types of food crops and grown edibles. They had a “virtual tour” of all the different farms and then discuss ideas of what they would like to grow in their own farms as well. The children drew pictures of their own edible garden and what they would like to sell to their friends and teachers too.
