Children realised that our aunties in our centre play a vital role in keeping COVID-19 at bay. To begin, teachers discussed with the children about the ways to show gratitude and appreciation to our own cook and cleaner aunty. Children decided to make a surprise bouquets of flowers for the aunties.
Children were engrossed in the process of making beautiful flowers. It was a challenge for them to control their excitement and not to spill the beans in front of aunties.
After completing flowers, children wrote thank you messages for the aunties. Our “Appreciation Bouquets” were ready for our aunties.
On 29th June, the children gave the bouquets to aunties. Both the aunties were surprised and overwhelmed by the children’s kind gestures.
After the bouquets presentation, children shared that they felt accomplished after seeing aunties’ happy faces. They realised how a small act of appreciation can bring smiles to someone else’s day.
