Last September, the K2 children wrapped up their Start Small, Dream Big 2022 project, “RESCUED is Our Favourite Breed”.
It has been an exciting and memorable 6 months since April, where the K2 children deepen their understanding on adopting pets and most importantly, developed a sense of responsibility and empathy towards animals.
In class, we have observed many precious moments where the children begin to develop more awareness and be mindful of the class situations with the pets around. Skills such as problem-solving, negotiation skills, decision-making, teamwork were some other skills which has been inculcated in the children through this project.
We also had many contributions such as self-made play shelter and bags of hay by the K2 children. It’s indeed moments of giving too!
It has been an eye-opener not only for the K2 class but also the Enfant staff who also takes turn to clean up and feed the guinea pigs daily, including Saturdays.
To conclude this whole experience, the K2 class penned down their experiences and feelings into a storybook which will be printed and placed in the classroom. Look out for the digital storybook which we will be sharing with all K2 parents!
Thank you to all children, parents, Enfant Team staff and community partners for making this adventure an indeed memorable one!
