Our SSDB project was launched in April 2018 and we had a mini party for it. We informed the parents that we are embarking on this project to teach children good values to grow up to be contributing members of the community that has most meaning for the children. We are planning activities to engage our parents, neighbours in our HDB block and the Elder Care Centre a few blocks away. We brainstormed for ideas on activities to thank parents and neighbours for being kind to us. We elicited ideas from the children on what activities they would like to do with the old fold at the Elder Care Centre. We also read books that emphasised good values such as kindness, compassion, inclusiveness and gratitude.
