On 15th April 2019, we had SSDB Launch Party with the K1 and K2 children of MY World Yishun Northland. The main themes for our SSDB projects this year will be Caring for Environment and Animals.
The children were briefed on the meaning of SSDB and watched a related video on SSDB to get a better understanding on what it is all about.
The teachers put in a collaborated effort and acted out different scenarios based on the SSDB themes. The children then reflected on the behaviours and whether they were appropriate. They were encouraged to explain what they should do in such situations and why.
The children were given the opportunity to come forward and share the SSDB card that they had made with their parents depicting their understanding on caring for the environment & animals.
At the end of the launch party, our K2 children went around our neighbourhood to distribute their message on caring to our neighbors, thus creating an awareness among the public.
