It’s finally the 4th April and that is the day that we are launching our SSDB project! Our parents and children have outdone themselves with their lovely costumes, using an array of recycled materials like plastic, rice packets, cardboard and even bottle caps.
Everyone, even the little ones, joined in the fun! We had a fashion show where all the children who dressed up had their 30 seconds of fame! All of the children also had the chance to talk about their costumes, about how they made it and why it was unique. The children had a blast walking down the aisle in their creative costumes! It’s amazing how ordinary materials like plastics and cardboards can be used to create some extraordinary costumes. This is a great example to show children how they can appreciate the environment through recycling of everyday materials like bottle caps and even yakult bottles!
I’m sure the children left school that day with a newfound appreciation for all things recyclable and it is a great start for our project too! Thank you parents for joining in our launch and we look forward to your participation for our SSDB project in the upcoming terms.
