In the month of June, the children from N2 to K2 focus on the value of “Respect”. The children listened to “A little Respectful SPOT”, a story about respecting people, places and things. We discussed and identified the various ways to respect people, places and things through the story.
The children also learned about everyone is unique and respecting differences through the story “ What Makes Us Unique” by Dr. Jillian Roberts. We also put emphasis on the phrase “ Treat others the way you want to be treated “. The children applied the value of “respecting others “ by working together with peers from different classes to complete the activities about respect.
The children from K1 and K2 also visited the Kindsville at MINT Museum of Toys to learn more about kindness. They explored various scenarios, stimuli and ideas that allowed them to learn to communicate, express and embrace how they can be kind to one another through the museum’s vintage toys and activities.
Besides that, the children also wrote a letter to Singa and mailed it to him!
