Stage 7:
We learnt about gardening tools in stage 7.
We also experienced how we can garden using gardening tools through a sensory bin in stage 7!
Stage 8:
We observed how a plant absorbs water through an experiment using cabbage, food dye of our choice, water and a cup. We had lots of fun observing our cabbage turning colours throughout the day!
Stage 9:
After viewing videos of how farmers harvest vegetables and fruits, we got to experience it on our own through a sensory bin. We utilised both gardening tools and our hands to ‘harvest’ our ‘crops’!
We also remembered to put back the vegetable toys into the sensory bin after we are done, to make sure it is ready for our next friend to use!
Stage 10:
We conducted a short experiment using green beans to observe what happens when a plant is given too much or too little water respectively, as well as a control plant which was given just the right amount of water.
Afterwards, in stage 10 we completed a worksheet to conclude our learning and observation.
We were immersed in our experiments and learning journey and had a good time expanding our knowledge on gardening!
