In the month of May, we officially launched our 2023 SSDB project, with the theme: “Think Kind, Be Kind”. Children of Bright Kids @ 173D Punggol Field and parents volunteers participated in the launching. We had a short sharing of the SSDB goals and the projects that the children are going to embark in the next 5 months. During the launch party, children listened to short stories, sing songs and had fun playing games.
We recited our kindness pledge together with the children and parents.
The children of N2 to K2 also made thier promise by putting their handprints on the SSDB kindness board mounted on the wall.
As part of the theme, the children made a “Thank You” card for the elderly to show their love and appreciation, while the parents helped to pack the Care packages. The “Thank You” cards and Care packages will be distributed to the elderly at the Elderly Activity Centre .
On the 19th May, parents volunteers and children of N2 to K2 participated in the charity drive and went door to door to distribute the care packages to the elderly.
We also engaged some of the elderly in the centre with terrarium activity too.
