Learning Vision @ Vista Point (Woodlands) embarked on the topic of “Journey To Zero Waste- Reduce Reuse Recycle”, to create awareness in our children on Singapore’s landfill and what they can do to prolong the lifespan of the landfill.
A series of activities were planned to facilitate the launch of the project, and for children to better understand how/what they can do on their part.
Launch of SSDB: 4th May 2023
The children were introduced to the Semakau Landfill and shared their thoughts about it.
They were engaged in puzzles and songs to help with their understanding about zero waste in Singapore.
Art and Craft using recycled materials
The children were involved in creating art pieces which were made up of recycled materials contributed by the parents.
The K1 children created a 3Rs logo using bottle caps while the N2 children created a earth collage using blue and green recycled materials.
Also, parents were engaged in a pledge activity where they could put their thumbprints on a 2D earth globe and pen down what they can do to help reduce waste in Singapore.
