On 6th September 2022, the children of 208 Sengkang Central collaborated with Sparklecare to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival via Zoom.
The objectives of this session is to instill partnership, love and empathy for the elderly.
During the session, the children performed a dance and sang songs for the elderly. After that, they even conveyed words of encouragement and greetings in both English and Chinese language.
To enhance the purpose and meaning of mooncake festival, the children taught the elderly how to make snowskin mooncake by explaining the instuctions patiently to them. The children and elderly proceeded to create their mooncake together while sharing the same screen.
To end off the session, the children had a chat with the elderly to get to know them better. The elderly showed faces of happiness as they shared about their day with the children and they bid goodbye to the children.
