As part of our SSDB fund raising project, we got our parents involved this time to either manage booths or set up booths! We tried to use many recycled materials as possible to set up our bazaar. Our location was the nearest multi purpose hall beside our school and held all the booths there. There were many stations like the food & drinks station, games stations, henna & sticker tattoo station, craft station and DIY snow globe station! Look at how some of our parents are engrossed in making their booth look great!
We love to see the children smile. We will do as much as we can and support events like these. -said a parent.
After setting up the booth for about an hour, it was time for some fun ! We split the event into two days as we have a lot of children and parents who wanted to be involved in the event. The first day was for the upper levels and the second day was for the lower levels. Both parents and children were managing the booths for two days and we did manage to sell more than expected.
One parent said that they enjoyed their time during the event and played many games. Another parent said they enjoyed making the snow globe with their child and would appreciate if there’s more events like this. Another parent added on saying that they love the effort the school took to organise such an event as it allows children to bond closely with their parents.
Overall, everyone had a splendid time during the event and we manage to raise funds over $2000 for plant a tree programme by NPARKS. We are grateful and thankful to all parents, Teachers and children to make this event a success. A special thank you to the Parents Support Committee for their never ending love for the school and making this event a hit!
