Our SSDB project aims to appreciate and thank the organisations/ uniformed groups for keeping Singapore a safe, clean and peaceful place to live in, in commemoration with Singapore’s 52nd Birthday.
Our centre held an Appreciation Ceremony and presented tokens of appreciations, made from recyclable materials, to our special guests.
We had the SSBD Launch Party on 11th April 2017 for PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Tampines West Block 890A to start kick start the project.
We shared the meaning behind SSDB and the aims and action plansof our project.
The Kindergarten 1 children also did a short presentation for the other children in the school to have a better understanding of the objectives of SSDB and our project.
The children had a brainstorming session and group discussions about the organisations that we had selected and the tokens that they will be creating for these organistions.
The Kindergarten 1 children had used recyclable materials to ensure that our tokens are meaningful and environmentally friendly.
We had also involved the Infant to Kindergarten 2 to create project works using recyclable materials.
Our Centre had focused on Singapore’s Places of Interest and Iconic Attractions for the displays which is in line with the National Day Celebrations.
On 7th August 2017, our centre celebrated National Day cum Appreciation day for our MP Mr Masagos, National Environment Agency, Singapore Civil Defense Force, Singapore Police Force.
The K1 children presented the Token of Appreciation to MP Mr Masagos and the nominees. Their hardwork paid off as they know and understand that their tokens were well received by them.
Overall, we had a very meaningful National Day and Appreciation Day Party with the children understanding that by starting small to appreciate these unsung heroes for their hardwork and dedication and that the children can dream big to be better people for the country.
Thank you.
