My FirstSkool @ Blk 126A Edgedale Plains launches the SSDB project today. This is our third year participating in the presidential challenge. Our 2023 SSDB project is “small hands, big hearts” we aim to inculcate kindness and care in our preschoolers and encourage them to care for the people around them through little kind acts.
In the morning, children were excited to learn to fold origami hearts and discuss how to they would like to show care and concern to the people around them. The children put on the SSDB hats and took photos holding the SSDB banner. N2 children picked up rubbish in their neighbourhood walk to create a clean and green place for the comminity. K1 children joined the elderly in the morning dance and brightened their days with the energy and positive vibes. K2 children brought a thank you card to our community gardener, Uncle Lim for his continuous effort in creating a beautiful garden for the neighbourhood. Through these kind gestures, our preschoolers realized that they too can care for the people around them in their own ways, as the SSDB slogan goes “no one can do everything, but everyone can do something!”
