The children from the K1 and K2s had zoom sessions with the elderly at the Home Nursing Foundation. The first session was to do a cookery lesson on Fruit Salad Stick preparation where the children gave instructions on how to prepare the salad. After which both the elderly and the children had a mini picnic via zoom. The children then danced to the song “Move to the groove” The elderly were seen moving to the steps. They ended the session waving bye to the elderly and giving them “flying kisses”
The second zoom session the children worked with the elderly to do an art work using finger painting on a canvas board. The children showed the elderly how to paint both the snail or a tree using either their fingers or paintbrushes. They ended the session where the children performed the Skool4kidz rap. We could see how much fun it was for both our young children and the elderly to have this time to interact with each other.
