SSDB 2020 Newton Kindergarten (Pre-Nursery)
Celebrations abound! As part of our annual Start Small Dream Big initiative, Newton Kindergarten’s theme shall encompass our core values of Love, Respect & Compassion and demonstrating these values towards their peers and loved ones. It is crucial for each of our children to proudly graduate with these core values instilled in them.
In an effort to show our gratitude and appreciation towards our heritage and senior citizens, our school has organised a joint effort with the teachers, pre-nursery children and parents, who generously donated an abundant amount of Chinese New Year goodies. The teachers narrated a book from the Nurturing Good Value Series, “Let Us Love” that taught our pre-school children on the significance of love and respect. As part of the Chinese New year festivities, our children were directly involved in creating Chinese New Year crafts as gifts. Following that, led by our principal, Mrs Tay, the children and teachers then delivered the donated goodies and presented the crafts to the senior citizens at Newton Life Church. It was worthwhile to see the joyous expression on both the children and the senior citizen’s face alike.
