As part of our SSDB 2017 Project, our school decided to participate in the “Keep Singapore Clean Movement” led by Public Hygiene Council. We organized a park clean-up activity on the 8th August 2017 at the Sembawang Park. This activity helps to educate our children the problem of inconsiderate littering and the importance of keeping public places clean.
Children of all levels and their parents were invited to participate in the above activity.
Children of the older levels (N2-K2) help sort out the litter collected based on the different materials such as plastic, styrofoam etc. and placed them in the blue bags for recycled items and black bags for non-recyclable items.
Lastly, the K2s helped to throw the blue bags into the blue recycled bin while the black bags are thrown into the green bin, thus, ending our park clean-up successfully.
