S.E.A Aquarium visit - Saving the oceans

Our N2s had an enriching experience at the S.E.A Aquarium!

We went on a Discovery Tour to find out more about how we can protect the animals and plants in the sea. During our tour, we discovered some interesting facts:

  • We discovered some animals that were NOT fishes. For e.g dolphins, sea star, sea jellies and more.

  • Sharks do not normally eat humans! Phew! They also play important roles in helping to maintain the delicately balanced ecosystems that keep our oceans healthy.

  • We learnt that coral reefs turning white (bleaching) are caused by water pollution and this in turns put the tiny and colourful animals in danger. They will be eaten by bigger fishes if they have no place to hide!

  • While all the animals at the S.E.A Aquarium were well taken care of, many sea animals are and will go extinct if we do not start protecting them and their habitat.

Moving forward, we will be reflecting, discussing and coming up with ways in which we can advocate for the protection of the ocean. Together, we hope to spread the message and educate others in support of protecting the ocean and sea creatures.
