MOE Kindergarten @ Northoaks participated in the Red Cross Junior Programme organised by The Red Cross Singapore. The children were introduced to ‘Henry, the Helpful’ mascot to learn how to take care for the elderly and also themselves through interactive and engaging activities. *Pictures were taken before the COVID-19 situation.
The children were introduced to the programme by the Red Cross Junior facilitators.
They learnt simple bandaging techniques from the experts.
The children practised the bandaging skills on their friends.
The children developed an understanding of the roles healthcare professionals through role-play which was facilitated by the class teacher after the session with the Red Cross facilitators.
The K2 children also embarked on a project to learn more about viruses for their Weeks of Wonder (WoW) Project in Semester 1. The children presented a song to help their friends learn how to keep themselves safe.
