In this activity, the K2 children were required to bring any recyclable materials (e.g., cereal boxes, toilet rolls, bottle caps…etc) that they could find at home to school. The following photos illustrated that the children are working in their groups to use recyclable materials to create their neighbourhood. The children thought of using cereal boxes to create the HDB flat and condominium , so they stacked the cereal boxes together to create the buildings. They also generated ideas to use the bottle caps as the swimming pool, and use the toilet rolls to create the trees. Through this recycling project work, the children learnt how to turn trash into new products. They were excited to see how recyclable materials can turn into a 3D craftwork!
