Gardening is a healthy and fun activity for the children. The children learnt best when engaging all their senses. They develop new skills and learn about science and nature from growing their own seeds. It also foster cooperation, sense of responsibility and self-confidence in achieving their goals.
In this culminating phase of the SSDB, the children were involved in the planting of edible seeds such as Lady’s Finger, Pak Choi and Spinach. This enriching activity not only sparked the children’s love for community gardening, it also strengthened their family bonding as they took care and observed the growth of their plants with their parents and siblings.
In partnership with our supportive parents, the children shared their meaningful experience with their gardening at home.
