For this recycling project, the K1 children put their
milk carton into the recycling box provided after
drinking their milk. They thought of what they can
do with the recycled milk cartons.
What can the children do with it? Planting!
The teacher provided soil, as well as green bean
and capsicum seeds for this planting activity. In
their small groups, the children followed
step-by-step instructions to plant the seeds in
their milk cartons.
From this activity, the children learnt that they
can turn recycling materials into something
beautiful. They will also continue to show care for
the plant by watering it every morning in school.
